Title: Presentation to The XYZ Cybercom Company
1MaxPro Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation
- Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation
This feature provides an allocation of channel
bandwidth depending on the channel data rate
request (voice vs. fax vs. data channel).
This feature allows the use of available
bandwidth more effectively and increases the
effective data rate per channel.
2MaxPro Digital Silence Interpolation
- Digital Silence Interpolation (DSI)
- During periods of silence on voice channel,
released bandwidth is dynamically reallocated to
active channels. - This feature allows more effective use of
bandwidth and increases effective data rate per
channel.
3MaxPro Comfort Noise Generation
Used in conjunction with DSI to avoid dead
channel. When silence period is detected, low
amplitude noise is injected Into channel,
indicating connection presence to listener.
4MaxPro Selectable Performance Level
- Selectable Performance Level
- To better utilize available bandwidth for
different - applications, operator may specify different
- configurations
- Preset Voice Quality
- Present Number of Data Channels
- Preset Minimum Required Data Rate
5MaxPro Centralized OMC
- User Friendly GUI
- Configure, Monitor Troubleshoot near and remote
ends - Provides text order wire capability (instant
messaging) - Remote software downloads and upgrades
- Can be provided via IP connectivity
- Can monitor up to 100 units simultaneously
6MaxPro Bypass Groups (Routing)
- Bypass Groups (Routing Function)
- Drop Insert Functionality compressed trunk can
be configured to carry 2 groups of channels - Operator pre-configures which trunks go directly
to destination and which trunks bypass and go
further - Each group of trunks has dynamic bandwidth
allocation
7MaxPro Clock Monitoring
- Two Clock Synchronization Sources
- Primary
- Secondary
- May be specified for each MaxPro unit
- Clock Sources Continuously Monitored for
- Frequency Deviations
- Clock source declared unusable if frequency
deviation - exceeds 50 ppm.
- gt 50 ppm, system will be switched to secondary
source - If both the primary and secondary sources out of
range - internal clock source will be used
- Calibration Procedure Available Via OMC Which
Trains - Unit for Ideal Clock Frequency
8MaxPro Performance Management
- Traffic Statistics Gathered at 15 Minute
Intervals - For Each 15 Minute Interval
- Count of Voice, Fax, Modem, Silence Seconds
Collected - Data Collected Per Channel
- Summarized and Presented to the User
- Statistics Kept in MaxPro Memory for 24 hours
- Retrieve Traffic Statistics using the OMC
- View in Graphical Format (chart)
- Data Statistics may be Saved in Tabulated Text
Format
