• What are some sounds that you hear in everyday

Definitions

• Solo - Composed, arranged for, or preformed by a
  single voice or instrument
• Tone - A sound of distinct pitch, quality, or
  duration a note
• Chord - A combination of three or more pitches
  sounded simultaneously
• Harmony - A combination of sounds considered
  pleasing to the ear
• Tempo - The speed at which music is or ought to
  be played
• Slur - A mark connecting notes that are to be
  sung to the same syllable, made in one continued
  breath

• Forte - In a loud forceful manner
• Piano - In a soft or quiet tone
• Crescendo - A gradual increase in the volume or
  intensity of sound in a passage
• Decrescendo - A gradual decrease in the volume or
  intensity of a sound in a passage
• Vibrato - A pulsating effect produced in an
  instrument or vocal tone by rapid variations
• Legato - In a smooth even style without any
  noticeable break between the notes
• Staccato - Cut short, crisply, detached
