IN THE CASE OF AN ACCIDENT DURING MOVEMENT OF
HAZARDOUS WASTES,

• No specific law on transboundary movement of
  hazardous waste.
• Environmental Protection Law, issued on the date
  26/4/1999, article no. 23 Prevention Measure and
  Pollution control state that it is forbidden to
  import, transport and move all kinds of hazardous
  waste through land, water and sky border of the
  Lao PDR.
• Article 5 (EPL) 4 Whoever causes damage to the
  environment is responsible for the impact under
  the law.act under the law.
