11Why Publish in T-MTT?
- Historically T-MTT has been a strong brand.
- With Xplore does it matter anymore?
- We have rapid turn around.
- But we cost authors more.
- Low OPC limit (OPC after 6 pages from 2005).
- Our IEEE peers charge OPC above 8 pages.
- Cost models
- Author pays, Usage free Public Library of
Science cost is 1,500 per article. - No charge to authors, high subscription (usage)
Elsevier - Author pays OPC moderate usage fee
(subsdownload) T-MTT - No cost to authors, moderate usage fee most of
IEEE publications. - Concerns
- Competitive position.
- Make sure the best microwave papers are published
in T-MTT - Barriers to globalization.
- Paper subscription (25) is below incremental
cost.

- Each paper will be processed as received and sent
to Xplore once the full editorial/production
cycle, including author review of galley proofs,
has been completed. (This process can take up to
6 weeks.) - Papers will be posted to Xplore in an "Accepted
