LEARN YORUBA CULTURE, SPIRITUALISM AND LANGUAGE
In not too distance a period, Africa will return
to its original position- FIRST WORLD. Yoruba
been a dominant race culturally, socially and
commercially will become prominent. . As you may
be aware, Yoruba culture and Language are
dominant in Nigeria. This culture also has strong
influence in other parts of the world.
Therefore, learning Yoruba culture and language
bring many benefits including commerce and
socialization. Yoruba is not a Religion but a
Race of people. Their language is Yoruba while
their religion is called Orisa. Among this
Orisas, Orunmila takes a center stage. There are
many other prominent Orisas including Esu Ogun,
Olokun, Obatala and Osun, . You are invited to
study and know more about your people whose
culture, language and the spiritualism survived
the middle passage and Humans inhuman to
Humanity.

About your Instructor. Chief Babalawo Afolabi is
your instructor. He is a Nigerian, a Yoruba
native speaker. He is a scholar and a cultural
historian. He holds a Masters and Bachelors
degrees from New York University and Concordia
University, Canada
In 8 weeks you will be speaking an African

your culture. History says that 80 of blacks in
America and Brazil are Yorubas. Also, Yoruba
culture is rich, beautiful and dignifying.
Course Description
Yoruba Language This is your key to
understanding Yoruba Culture and Religion. Anyone
who wants to get the full benefit of Yoruba
Tradition and Religion should make effort to
learn the language first. This course will
introduce you to Yoruba alphabets greetings,
basic reading, speaking and writing. Simple
proverbs and wise sayings Sample Yoruba
alphabets
Yoruba Culture Your instructor will take you
through Yoruba history, Community organization,
role of individuals elder, male, female,
children. Respects, sanctions, wedding child
birth,, death, Ancestors Pouring libation is
cultural rather than religion.
Why should I know about Yoruba Spiritualism?
Because it is the spirituality of your
ancestors. They used their bloods to preserve
their deities so that you and me may benefit

Yoruba Deities Gods and Goddesses, Concept of
Ori, Divination, the position of Orunmila or Ifa
in Yoruba Cosmology Initiation, what you should
know before you are initiated Some of the
