Flynn Taggart

• Fly is a major in the United States Marine Corps.
  He was positioned on Mars as a Corporal, but he
  was not allowed to work because he was court
  marshaled on Earth. When the alien invasion
  started at the Union Aerospace Corporation (UAC),
  Fly was being guarded, but easily escaped his
  guards and joined the fight.

Arlene Sanders

• Arlene is a Pfc in the United States Marine
  Corps. She started out working as a scientist
  for the UAC, but then joined the Corps. She was
  in the front lines when the aliens(Freds are the
  name that civilians use when talking about them)
  invaded the UAC base.

Albert Gallatin

• Albert Gallatin is a retired sniper from the
  corps. He is Arlenes finance. He joined Arlene
  and Fly when they landed in Salt Lake City.
  Albert is a very strong willed Mormon, and is
  very religious. He always quotes the Mormon
  bible when he feels he is in danger.

Jill

• Jill is a fourteen year old computer genius. The
  group met her at the Mormon base. She goes with
  the team to Los Angles and helps them fly their
  plane with the experience she has from a flight
  simulator game.

Commander Hildago

• Hildago is a captain in the Corps. He becomes
  the captain of the team when they land a plane
  in Hawaii. He is a really strict commander. He
  would rather focus on how clean your uniform is
  than how much danger you are in.

Setting

• The book starts out on earth then the main
  characters go to one of Mars moons. Then, by
  some weird means of transport, they suddenly
  appear on an unknown planet. The book starts out
  in about 2050, but because of the weird physics
  of space they are only ageing by days when years
  are going by on Earth.

Problem

• The problem in the book is that two different
  sets of aliens are at war because of how they
  interoperate a twelve million year old bible.
  The funny thing is that none of these aliens ever
  die. They are considered lostwhen they have
  less than eight percent of their original body
  left. If they dont have more than eight percent
  of themselves left the turn into a ghost like
  state until a new baby is born which then they
  take the babies body.

Other problems

• Aliens struggle over which way to interpret a
  book, Earth has become just another way of
  revenge for one side of the fight. So in turn
  the other side tries to help earth.

• As the team tries to solve the problem they
  encounter different clues all leading to the
  reason that Earth was attacked. After they find
  this answer out, they then proceed to help one
  side of the aliens to defeat the other. Even
  though they have done this, it is to late for
  Earth when they get back. The book then ends
  with them wondering what has happened to earth
  when they have been gone.

Just for tell

• Although this book sounds like a big sci-fi there
  are many sub plots that have to do with mystery,
  romance, and horror. This is a very good book
  for teenage boys because the characters are very
  creative and the authors leave a lot of clues for
  the reader to figure out by themselves. Young
  children should not read this book because of
  moderate violence and swearing.
