Programme
  • Domain courses (48 ECTS, only for students who
    apply for the two-year programme) specialisation
    in one or more fields of law
  • Methodical courses (18 ECTS) methods and
    techniques of academic (legal) research
  • Context courses (12 ECTS) reflection on
    jurisprudence and the interdisciplinary study of
    law
  • Theme courses (12 ECTS) specialist areas of the
    Tilburg Faculty's research centers
  • Independent research (30 ECTS) supervised by a
    researcher experienced in the field of interest
    PhD proposal.

  • Admission takes place after selection. Successful
    candidates hold a university Bachelors or
    Masters degree and must have a good academic
    record.
  • Good motivation for research
  • Excellent language skills (English)
