The MQI team offers formal and informal learning
experiences for individuals and organizations to
promote human growth and achieve optimum
organizational performance.
The MQI Co-Founders Alex Bennet,
internationally recognized as an expert in
knowledge management and an agent for
organizational change, served as the Chief
Knowledge Officer and Deputy Chief Information
Officer for Enterprise Integration for the U.S.
Department of the Navy (DON), and was co-chair of
the Federal Knowledge Management Working Group.
Previously, she was DON Acquisition Reform
Executive. She is the recipient of the
Distinguished and Superior Public Service Awards
for her work in the Federal Sector. Building on
recent research, Alex has developed
organizational approaches and programs to
internalize values through the use of stories and
storytelling. She has published extensively in
the KM field, including a recent book on
knowledge mobilization in the social sciences and
humanities. Alex is a Delta Epsilon Sigma and
Golden Key National Honor Society graduate with a
Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems
degrees in Management for Organizational
Effectiveness, Human Development, English and
Marketing and certificates in Total Quality
Management, System Dynamics and Defense
Acquisition Management. Dave Bennets
experience spans many years of service in the
Military, Civil Service and Private Industry,
including fundamental research in underwater
acoustics and nuclear physics, frequent design
and facilitation of organizational interventions,
and serving as technical director and program
manager for several major DOD acquisition
programs. Most recently, David was CEO, then
Chairman of the Board and Chief Knowledge Officer
of a professional services firm located in
Alexandria, Virginia. Dave is the author of a
comprehensive guide for the application of
Integrated Product Teams that includes a System
Dynamics Flight Simulator. Organizational
strategic planning, decision-making and
complexity thinking are areas of continuing
interest and development. David is a Phi Beta
Kappa, Sigma Pi Sigma, and Suma Cum Laude
graduate of the University of Texas and Johns
Hopkins University, holding degrees in
Mathematics, Physics, Nuclear Physics, Liberal
Arts, and Human and Organizational Development.
He is currently researching and developing a new
theory of adult learning.
