  • June 2001, U.S. Department of Education Office
    of Vocational Adult Education (OVAE) required
    states to use Career Clusters to report student
    enrollment for Perkins
  • June, 2001, OVAE launches the National Career
    Cluster Initiative through an RFP
  • July, 2002, Career Cluster Knowledge and Skills
    Statements were ready for validation
  • September, 2002, all 50 states were invited to a
    materials dissemination meeting

  • June, 2003 CCTI received funding for 15 sites to
    pilot 5 Career Clusters
  • June, 2004, Career Cluster Grids produced
    introduced
  • March, 2005, The Education Training Career
    Cluster was presented at the National Association
    of Community College Teacher Educators
  • March, 2006 OVAE gave grant to NASCTEDc to
    develop pathway study plans
