The Ancient Levant A workshop on the archaeology
of Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, Palestine,
Cyprus 16 - 17 May 2008 UCL Institute of

This workshop explores the concept of the Levant
as a cultural region, the diversity of cultures
that evolved within it, and the relationships
between those cultures. It also explores the
ways in which British-based archaeological
research traditions have affected exploration,
data collection and interpretation.
Approximately 30 speakers from across the UK will
be presenting papers. Admission is free and all
are welcome to attend. There may be some pressure
on space, so to pre-register please contact
