He got into the Australian swimming team at the
age of 14. (Year 1997) He becomes best world
champion swimmer in 1998. Ian Thorpe takes over
world records spot in 1999. Ian Thorpe wins 3
gold medals and 2 silver medals in Sydney. (Year
2000) In Year 2001 Ian Thorpe won 6 gold medals
and breaking 4 world records in the process.
Ian Thorpe wins just 3 gold medals in year
2003. To Ian Thorpe this was hopeless. In year
2004 Ian Thorpe gets disqualified but Craig
Stevens lets him take his place instead.
