Title: New thinking of the political

1
New thinking of the political
University of Ljubljana Slovenia
  • Igor Lukic PhD.

Ljubljana, May 2009.
2
Introduction
  • Two types of politics
  • ancient
  • modern

3
Modern politics
  • Modern reality
  • Physics as ideology of modern
  • first science
  • form of awareness of the modern age
  • has privilege to define what is the real
  • and what is nature

DELEGITIMATION OF GOD
LEGITIMATION OF NATURE
4
Modern politics
  • Similarity between physics and political sciences
  • Every revolution is jump out from the physics
  • Lets be real, lets demand non-possible
    student movement slogan (1968)
  • Jammer history of physics shows clearly that
the introduction of the concept of force led to
    methodological unification of conceptual scheme
    of science
  • Question of reallity Hobbes,Leibniz,Popper
    etc.

5
Mechanicism
  • in all political doctrines - most of all in
    liberalism
  • Common pionts (Barber)
  • atomism
  • indivisiability
  • commensuaribility
  • mutual exclusivity
  • sensationalism

6
New concept of reality
  • French revolution - concept of mechanical reality
    brought on power
  • Political emancipation and recogniliation of
individuals as citizens (citoyen) which form the
    state

7
Non-mechanicistic paradigm in political science
  • HEGEL Individual is not as a body member of
the state as a thing - It exists through
the state in the state through individuals
  • MARX stand point of the new is human society
    social humanism
  • reification of human relation should be analyzed
and overcome in process of human emancipation
  • people are not conscious-less bodies, but always
consideration of human relations members of
    state are not atoms

8
  • GRAMSCI mechanicism is based on believe
    in forsa delle cose
  • concezione meccanicistica sia stata un religione
    di subalterni
  • mehanicism goes together with stable relations
    between rulers and the governed
  • yesterday -
  • subject was
  • una cosa thing
  • today
  • persona storica,
  • un protagonista

9
Anti-mechanicistic paradigm
  • FOUCALT
  • anti-mechanicistic and anti-monarchistic view of
    politics
  • individual as a primary effect of power
  • individual is an effect of the power and at the
same time this effect is the element of its
    articulation. Individual, which is constituted
from the power as at the same time its bearer.

10
FOUCALT
  • juridical monarchy historical form of
perception of power in the West
  • we still havent cut off the head of the king
    !!!
  • we shall try to rid ourselves of a juridical
and negative representation pf power, and cease
to conceive of it in terms of law, prohibition,
    liberty and sovereignity

11
Anti-mechanicistic paradigm
  • LEGGETT in quantum mechanics events
    dont happen, whereas in our
    every day world-view they
    certainly do
  • but in fact quantum physics simply works, it
    functions.
  • BOHM plasmon - term to illustrate how
every particle will ultimately be found
to be the reification of a collective
    vibration of still finer structure.

12
Classical reality vs. quantum physics
  • SPACE
  • WHOLE
  • MEASUREMENT
  • SUBJECTIVISM
  • CAUSALITY
  • CONCEPT of TIME

13
Classical reality vs. quantum physics
14
MEASUREMENT
  • In quantum theory - creator of facts and meaning
  • there is only sequence of results of measurements
  • atomic systems should not even be thought of as
possessing definite properties in the absence of
a specific experimental set-up designed to
    measure these properties (Leggett)
  • bridge between micro and macro-world

15
SUBJECTIVISM
  • Popper and Bohm intrusion subjectivism in
    physics
  • The result of observation is to change the
meaning and therefore change the being (Bohm)
  • analysis is a change in the thing analyzed

16
CAUSALITY CONCEPT OF TIME
  • Quantum theory has broken classical concept of
    time and causality.
  • quantnum mechanic has no casual explanation
    Bohm
  • Jammer elimination of the concept of
force from physics would lead to
emancipation of science as a whole from
    bondage of causality

17
Key future of the quantism
  • Self-reflective character
  • Three types of knowledge
  • Quantum physics
  • Marxism
  • Psychoanalysis

18
CONCLUSION
  • Mechanicism
  • core structure of common sense since Newton times
  • not outside of the political sciences but
    inherent to it
  • Politics is not sensual object (not a thing), but
res publica, without res on mechanical way of
    thinking.
  • We need NEW CONCEPT to legitimize this
    non-mechanical position through physics
  • As a scientific phenomena
  • Or as a real reality

19
CONCLUSION
  • New concept based on quantizem
  • Politics as being its own reality
  • Object of political science as a whole, whole
    political reality, reality existed through
    politics
  • Allows us to denaturalize the political science
    and world of politics
  • to replace all terms which relate to universe of
    our everyday experience
  • But we need new theory
  • Non leaner
  • Non-mechanical
  • Non-deterministic

New political practice (reified political
relations on de-reified way)
