• On the whole, this is a good instructor Mean

• Please explain equations of models
• I have been extremely disappointed with the 651,
  652, and 653 series. The material in these
  classes rarely corresponded to the typical
  analyses in my major (Animal Science). There was
  little continuity among classes 651 instructor
  told me nothing in the class would be applicable
  to my work (I got more out of an undergrad stat
  class at another institution) 652 spent the
  entire term on basic regression and anova
  formulas, never covered transformations, post-hoc
  tests, etc. 653 started as good catch-up, but
  turned into a how-to of SPSS (which we do not use
  in our field).

• Good amount of material covered. Some problems
  could be a little more tailored to plant breeding
  scenarios, there are several of us who take these
  classes.
• Having taken Dr. Speed for both Stat 651 and
  Stat 652 I wish we had covered more new material.
  Overall though it was a good class and a great
  review of previous material.

• The only suggestion I have is regarding the
  homework. The best way to do the homework was to
  watch all the videos and then do the homework.
  To me this was not very helpful because a lot of
  material is covered in each video then by the
  time you finish watching the set of videos you
  have forgotten important things. I wish we would
  have homework for a set of 2-3 max video. This
  allows you to review the material learn in the
  video and in this way one can retain more
  information.
• I would also like to have seen more time spent on
  interpreting hypothesis and translating research
  questions into parameters questions

• This course contained the best explanation of
  linear regression I've ever had (w/ 12 hrs of
  grad. statistics). That explanation carried over
  into the other topics, and keeping them in the
  same context helped bring fluidity to the topics.
