On January 2005, a MOU between CNSN BNSC was
signed by Mr. Laiyan Sun and Lord Sainsbury in
Beijing.

workshop, the Space Science Technology
Cooperation Investigation Group was organized
and leaded by BUAA Vice President Mr. Xu Huibin

to UK, where held the 2nd Workshop on Space
Science Technology.

of space science technology between two nations.

16Chinas Laboratory System
- National Laboratory
- There are only 9 (10 in preparation) National
Laboratories, which cover all research areas of
the corresponding discipline, focus on national
key projects and indicate Chinas highest
academic level. - State Key Laboratory
- There are hundreds of State Key Laboratories,
which mainly focus on 1st level disciplines. - Provincial and Ministerial Key Laboratory
- These laboratories are financed by provinces
or ministries, aiming at 2nd level disciplines.
17The Form of Joint Research Lab
The Joint Research Laboratory adopts council in
both side, including many universities, research
institutes and industrial corporations (China 29
until now). The council belong to the BUAA
National Laboratory of Aeronautics and
Astronautics (NLAA) and Rutherford Appleton
Laboratory (RAL).
China council members BUAA, CAST, CCSAR CAS,
etc. UK council members CCLRC/RAL, Surrey Space
Center, Oxford University, Imperial College, Open
University, Logical CMG, etc.
