Murder

• Definitions
• Strong.
• Hebrew. to dash in pieces, i.e. kill (a human
  being), espec. to murder--put to death, kill,
  (man-) slay, murder.
• Greek. (from a word meaning) a murderer (always
  of criminal or at least intentional homicide.
• The AHTD has the unlawful killing of one human
  being by another, especially with premeditated
  malice.

Murder, a specific killing

• Israel was commanded to exercise capital
  punishment (Lev. 202, 27 2416-17, 21 Deut.
  172-7 2121-23 2220-24).
• Israel was involved in battle against inhabitants
  of the land when they began to occupy Canaan
  (Deut. 71-2).
• Governments are allowed to administer capital
  punishment (Rom. 133-4).

• Job described death at birth as receiving rest
  same as with an adult (Job 311-16).

• The use of alternative language.
• Anytime alternative language is used, it is used
  in order to alter thinking.
• Hence, pro-choice, reproductive choice,
  personal rights.

Abortion, arguments to justify

• The mother has the right to control her own
  body.
• The unborn is not really human until it is
  born.
• Its better to abort a child than to abuse it.
  
• We cannot legislate morality.
• People are going to have abortions anyway, we
  might as well legalize it.
• Making abortions illegal will result in mothers
  dying in back alley abortions.

Conclusion

• Abortion is a grim reminder that life is cheap in
  the eyes of some.
• Yet, it is not cheap to God.
• Man says we should be like animals and shed
  innocent blood.
