Ghadir Project

• GeneralitiesThe major mission of university
  libraries is to provide faculty members,
  students, and researchers with organized
  scientific and technical information to expand
  their knowledge. However, for several reasons
  such as increasingly growing human knowledge and
  increasing number of published information
  resources, as well as the limitations libraries
  face including financial limitations we can not
  expect libraries to provide their subscribers
  only with their own resources. Thats why access
  to resources is used instead of owning
  resources and it also has led to creation of
  programs by which libraries would be able to use
  each other resources to fulfill the needs of
  their subscribers. Coverage Libraries In this
  project, 235 libraries related to 66 universities
  and research institutes in the Ministry of
  Science , Research, And Technology voluntarily
  put their sources directly at the disposal of
  their subscribes. These libraries have totally
  more than 5.5 million volumes of books, about
  40,000 periodicals, and more than 10,000 theses
  (repeated or not).The Manner of UseAccording to
  this project, those who are under the coverage
  should refer to the place defined as the starting
  point for them and present their application.
  Through some procedures, the starting point
  presents every body a card for membership in the
  project as well as three barrowing cards. Using
  the first card, members of the project shall be
  able to directly go to the libraries under the
  coverage and benefit from all their facilities in
  situ, and if necessary submitting every card,
  borrow one book which is to be borrowed according
  the regulations of the library for 3

  qualifications shall be able to apply for
  membership in this projectAny faculty member
  either full time or contractual or any graduate
  students affiliated with the Ministry of Science,
  Research, and Technology.

• Becoming a member in Ghadir project every
  applicant shall accept the followings To follow
  all the regulations of Ghadir project, he shall
  be informed of when he wants to apply or after
  that.To follow all the regulations and
  administrative decencies of the destination
  libraries and their related organizations. To
  follow borrowing rules while borrowing books from
  destination libraries.To remedy the probable
  losses to the destination libraries in accordance
  with the regulations of Ghadir pro
• The Regulations on Borrowing Books in Ghadir
  Project
• The allowed time for delay for every card shall
  be 14 days. In cases where a member returns the
  book to the library after the allowed time and
  before the allowed time for delay whish shall be
  at most 14 days, the library shall punch the card
  concerned as followsOne puncture for one to 7
  days of delay,Two punctures for 8 to14 days of
  delay,Regulations on the Settlement of Accounts
