Performers List

• Essential to be on it or you will not be allowed
  to see patients independently
• Part of that is a CRB check
• www.crb.gov.uk
• It can take 8 weeks to get a CRB check so you
  must have started the process
• Our Primary Care Agency is in Maidstone

Contracts

• There are 2 new contracts for you to sign with
  your trainer
• Download them from the KSS Deanery website
• Educational contract
• Employment contract

RCGP

• Everyone will need to register with the college.
• You will not be able to access the e-portfolio
  without registering
• You can be an Associate in Training and receive
  information from the college (ie BJGP)
• Fee 350

Defence Society Subscription

• You must belong to a defence society ie MPS, MDU
• You are entitled to claim back this money from
  the deanery
• Usually comes in monthly instalments from your
  practice
• Ensure you sign appropriate forms through the
  practice

E-portfolio

• Everyone needs to collect evidence of their
  competence to practice
• This is now through the e-portfolio
• It forms part of your final assessment
• You must register to get a user name and password

GP curriculum

• Massive 600 page document
• Learning outcomes are the most important sections
• Ensure you have evidence in each domain in your
  e-portfolio prior to finishing
• Use as a reference to assess your learning needs
• Access via RCGP website

Out of Hours

• Essential part of training
• Declaration has to be signed by you and your
  trainer to say that you have done the minimum
  amount (forms on KSS website)
• Minimum standard 72 hours
• You may be asked to do more
• You do not have to do all sessions with your
  trainer

Study Leave

• 30 days per year
• Attending VTS educational afternoons is
  compulsory and counts as a half day of your study
  leave
• Total 15 days
• Remainder of study leave must be negotiated with
  trainer

Car mileage

• Changed from last year
• You must keep a record of mileage
• Trainer will be able to claim it back at the end
  based on the miles that you have done (and not a
  fixed sum)
