Empowerment Grants for Women
  • Womens Network administers these grants,
    amounting to 14,000 per year.
  • Grants are generally given as seed funding to
projects that empower women in other countries,
including self-help projects, literacy and skills
    training programmes and community projects
  • In 2008, projects in Europe will receive support.

12
Social Community Action Grants
  • Womens Network also administers Social
Community Action Grants, funding projects that
meet a need in the local community.
  • Do you have a Racial Justice project that needs
funding? This fund will also support you in that
    work.
  • Applications are invited from groups which
    involve Methodist women.

13
Training Grants
  • Would you like your group to work better than it
    does?
  • You could apply for a training grant to invite a
facilitator to work with you to improve your
group dynamics or help you develop ways of
talking about God and faith. Using different
learning styles and catering for different
personality types helps us all to value one
another and use each others gifts to the benefit
    of the group.
  • Why not identify your training need and apply?

14
How do I apply for a grant?
Application forms are available from Methodist
Church House. You will need to make sure that the
project for which you seek funding meets the
criteria listed on the application form. Social
and Community Action Grant applications must be
signed by the District Treasurer for Womens
Network. Call us on 020 7486 5502 and ask for an
application form.
