The new Technology RFID technologies
What is it?

• RFID is an electronic tag containing a product
  code and unique serial number that can be matched
  to a pallet, a case of products, or even
  individual items. Because they transmit data via
  radio waves, tags can be scanned by machines
  eliminating human errorand tracked from the
  factory
• floor to the households of consumers.

• Can be used for tracking goods within the
  warehouse and dispatch of goods.
• Can be used for tracking key data through the
  transportation process.
• Better stock control, process flow control, or
  even simply knowing where items are around large
  sites.
• Contents of skids do not have to be in line of
  sight to be scanned.
• Quicker, easier and more efficient inventory
  accounting

  departments. For example
• Shortening the time for the Procurement division,
  Logistics and Shipping, Receiving, and
  Warehousing in implementing the inventory into
  the data warehouse
• Sales and Customer Service will know exactly what
  is available to customers, when new stock is
  arriving and can immediately contact
  manufacturing to reorder stock if there isn't
  enough inventory on hand.
• Accounting and Finance will be able to better
  track inventory turnover thus having more
  accurate financial statements.
