What is SDAA LTD?

- It represents Seventh- day Adventist Association
Ltd. - It is the legal arm of the church
- Titles of church buildings and land are
registered under and owned by SDAA - SDAA can sue and can be sued

- History
- On the 24th August 1906, the Seventh-day
Adventist Union Ltd was incorporated. - Twenty seven years later, it had a name change
and became British Advent Missions Ltd (10 March
1933)

- Further down the line on 29th March 1976, had
another name changeand became the Seventh-day
Adventist Association Ltd.

cont. - And finally, a subsidiary company was
formedthe Seventh-day Adventist Trust Company
Ltd on 28 June 1982. Seventh-day Adventist
Association Ltd is a registered charity,
Seventh-day Adventist Trust Company Ltd is not.

- The Role (Outline)
- To facilitate the legal process of church
building acquisition, church building disposals,
land acquisition and disposal. - Established churches who have their properties
may wish to rent out part of the properties to
the local communities SDAA will also facilitate
the legal drawing up of the contract.

- Local churches may sue or be sued through SDAA
- - Contracts for building of a church are also
drawn out in the name of SDAA. - SDAA Ltd has been able to assist in the building
or purchase of a number of churches via Bank
loans.

Cont. Among those who have benefited are
Balham, Clapton, Hounslow, Lewisham, Pendeford,
Stanborough Park, Stratford, Wembley , Woodgreen
and Yardley, Some of these have completed the
repayment of their loansothers are just
starting. Without exception, the repayments are
being made on time.

- Process of church acquisition
- The initiative starts with the local church by
developing their evangelistic vision, whether
they want to have a larger congregation, provide
facilities for the local community e.g. schools,
conference services etc - Discuss the vision with the church board and
gets its approval.
