• Even if every existing Christian church building
  in America was filled we would need to start
  6,000 new churches a year to keep up with net
  population growth.

  dont have a Pastor.
• SBC is largest protestant denomination in the
  world.

How are SBC Kingdom building efforts?

• In 2002 over 6,500 SBC churches did not have a
  baptism.
• The SBC is not a convention of mega churches nor
  one of large churches.
• The median SBC church size is between 60-70
  members.

• There are presently over 200 Million
  lost/unchurched people in North America.
• The SBC recent past has been focused on
  traditional church planting.
• We must ask ourselves what contexts and
  environments are ripe for church planting
  movements.

German church growth researcher

• The smaller the church the greater its growth
  potential.
• A church of up to 100 attenders (avg size of 51)
  won 32 new believers over a period of five years,
  and grew from 51 to 84 attenders, which is a
  growth of 63.
• A large or even mega church of over 1000 (avg.
  size 2856) won 112 new believers in five years,
  which is a growth of 4.
