Introduction

• CAE designs flight simulators.
• These flight simulators uses Instructor Operator
  Station (IOS) pages to control practice and
  flight conditions.
• Our project design an automated database that
  allow engineers to efficiently manipulate the
  information from IOS pages.
• Utilize Microsoft Access, XML, VBScript, Active
  Server Pages

• Design and implement database to store and
  retrieve information about IOS page

• - Controls Used
• - Systems Involved
• Create web-interface to update, add, delete and
  search elements in the IOS pages
• Increase reuse of the IOS pages and GUI objects
  
• - Decrease errors
• - Reduce cost and schedule

Current Highlights

• Instead of using Oracle 8i, now using Microsoft
  Access
• Changes to Entity-Relationship Diagram persisted,
  but was finalized February 25
• Populated database with sample data
• Before Each team member assigned to code for a
  specific tableNow Generic code applies to all
  tables
• Developed working interface for all database
  functions except Edit
