4The Constitution Committee
- The Constitution Committee shall receive all
proposals for amending the Constitution and the
International Standing Rules, make
recommendations for changes to the Administrative
Board, and present approved proposals to the
international convention for vote. - Notification of proposed changes to the
Constitution and the International Standing Rules
shall be published no later than the March/April
issue of the D K G NEWS. After each
international convention, the committee shall
ascertain that the Constitution, International
Standing Rules, and Handbook are in concordance.
The parliamentarian shall serve as a consultant.

retired educators who have been retired no
more than two years. - Article IV.C Honorary fee is now 50.00
- Article VI.C.9 (6) Treasurer must now submit
books for annual audit/financial review - Article VIII Our Society no longer has a
Travel and Study Committee now we have travel
links on the Society website (www.deltakappagamma
.net)
10International Standing Rules
- Through the ISR, International implements the
Constitution - The ISR may be amended at each convention the
next opportunity is 2008

Rules
- SR 2.51 We now have two new annual
scholarships each scholarship is now 6,000. - SR 6.01 Past state president or founder serving
as executive secretary, treasurer (if under
remunerative contract), or parliamentarian may
now vote on ballot votes. - SR 9.61 Installation and initiation ceremonies
may be adapted to meet the needs of state
organization and chapter. - SR 10.31.a Golden Gift Fund committee awards
special stipends to members to develop skills and
meet specific educational and professional needs.

attendance. - Other 2006 votes affecting members
- For 2006-2008, two issues of the Bulletin and one
issue of the D K G NEWS will be published on
the Society website each year. - The 2014 International Convention will be held in
Indiana.
12The Constitution and Standing Rules Allow for
Diversity and Uniqueness in State Organizations
and Chapters
- The Constitution
- Article III.B C Chapters determine who will
become members and the method for voting for new
members. - Article VI.A.2 3 State organization and
chapter officers may vary because second
vice-president and corresponding secretary are
optional. - Article VII.B.1 The state may determine such
other voting and non-voting members of the state
executive board. Executive board composition
varies from state to state. - Article VII.C.1 Each chapter may determine
- the composition of chapter executive board.
- Article VIII.A.2 State organization and
chapters - determine their own committee structure to
carry - out the duties assigned and the
responsibilities.
13- Article IX.A.2.a State convention is optional
in even-numbered years. - Article IX.A.3 Chapters may determine the
number of meetings to be held each year. Four
meetings a year are required. - Article X.9 Chapters may maintain a scholarship
