Graphics.

2Removing hands from Planet Earth.
I used the lasso tool in Photoshop Elements to
cut the earth out of the original graphic. Once
the earth was pasted into a new document with a
black background, I used the paintbrush to cover
the little pieces of hand left behind.

3How modification addresses need
The hands were removed in order to create the
poster on the next page. The hands may have been
okay, but they gave the image an appearance that
was too pleasant.

This graphic needs to be cropped to emphasize the
World Trade Center. This is my fourth image that
needs modification.
6Removing lamppost from NYC.
I used the lasso tool in Photoshop Elements to
cut the lamppost out of the original graphic. I
filled the space with the paint brush, using the
eye dropper to copy colors from the adjacent
portions of the picture. I believe I could have
used the clone tool for this also.

This graphic is the opening slide of a
presentation set to music. The first line of the
song says, Sun comin up over New York City.

8Removing clouds and adding foreground
I plan to place white text in the sky and on the
dark foreground. To make the text distinct, I
removed the lower clouds using the clone tool,
eye dropper, and paint brush. I also raised the
lower right portion of the dark foreground to
provide a little more room.

9This is my fifth graphic that needs modification.
The layout of the page on which it will be used
calls for the graphic to be flipped horizontally.
When that is done, the number 3 on the players
uniform will need to be removed because it will
clearly be backward.
