Purpose of the Lesson
  • The purpose of this lesson was for the children
    to work in pairs to make observations about
    various items, without being able to see those
    items.
  • The main goal of the lesson was for the children
    to use descriptive words to describe the items.

  • Blindfolds

Overview of the Lesson
  • The class was divided into two sections, the
    recorders and the feelers.
  • The job of the feelers was to be blindfolded and
    to use his/her hands to make observations about
    various items.
  • The job of the recorders was to use the
    PowerPoint, hand each item pictured to the
    feeler, and record the descriptive words that the
    feeler used to describe the items on a piece of
    paper.
