Title: Community Involvement
1Community Involvement
2Goldring Gulf Distributing demonstrates
involvement within the Community through several
events and venues. Multiple Projects are set up
to help raise money for charities and our
community. We currently have several PARTNERS
that we are associated with United Cerebral
Palsy, The Ronald Mc Donald House, The Special
Olympics, Make a Wish Foundation and Emerald
Coast Foundation. We also volunteer our time at
several Sporting Venues supporting Endowment and
Scholarship Funds. It is questionable that the
type of business that our company is, (beer and
alcohol) should be associated with children,
charities and community service, we only ask to
be considered as PARTNERS in the community. We
live here, work here, raise our families here.
Why should we give up the chance to make our
community a better place?

3Art in the GardenART AUCTION
- Liberty Sertoma and Angels Garden invited
the community to participate in the Art in the
Garden Silent Auction, Friday May 19, 2006.
Miller Lite Yuengling draft was donated to
those who paid to attend the event. All monies
collected went to benefit MAKE A WISH
FOUNDATION. Goldring Gulf had another
contributor, Brent Pursleys wife, Donna Reid,
gave a beautiful Swarovski Crystal bracelet.
Sertoma is connected with Goldring Gulf through
one of its members, Amber Cooper. Employees from
Goldring Gulf volunteered their time Friday
afternoon to help set up and work the auction.
Overall the turnout of the event was spectacular
and a large portion of money was raised through
the auction items, raffle tickets and event
tickets. Several Goldring Employees showed up to
help support the event.

Auction items were donated through these partners
to maximize the monies collected. The total event
money raised topped at 14,000 to go toward a bus
for Capstone Academy PK-K charter school. This
event is one of many that Goldring associates
itself to show how important it is to be involved
with charity events.
5 Home is not
where you live but where they understand you.
Christian Morgenstern We are proud
to know that we are creating this kind of
environment for the families and children that we
serve. We would not be able to do so alone! For
21 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities of
Northwest Florida has been dependent on the
generosity of the community and partners who help
us make our events and fundraisers a success.
These fundraisers ensure that we are able to
provide a Home-Away-From-Home for children and
their families while they are struggling with
critical and often life-threatening illness. We
are proud to say that over 14,000 family members
have stayed in our home regardless of their
ability to pay or contribute to our charity.
Each year, we are amazed by the communitys
overwhelming support of our mission! For the past
two years, we have received continuing support
from Goldring Gulf Distributing. David Gaines
and Amber Cooper work willingly on our behalf and
their contributions (of product, time and talent)
ensure that our Firecracker 5K and Kaps for Kids
party are enjoyed by ALL. This enjoyment
ensures greater participation and results in
income that can be used to serve families in
crisis. Not only have David and Amber provided
the House with banners, Miller Lite and volunteer
time but they have helped develop relationships
with other businesses and restaurants that will
serve our charity for many years. We have been
privileged to receive support from Goldring Gulf
Distributing and, while some people would
question the relationship between a beer
distributor and a childrens charity, we proudly
recognize our friends as great community
partners. Their continued efforts on behalf of
the House help us better serve families like
Tanner and Sophia Graces.
Shortly after Tanner was born, the doctors
noticed that he bruised everywhere that they
touched him. After a week of platelet
transfusions and procedures, brave little Tanner
was able to go home. His worried parents stayed
at the Ronald McDonald House during Tanners
ordeal. They felt very lucky to get a room right
away and be so close to Tanner while he was
getting better.
Sophia Graces family has been staying with us
for over a month now. Her mom had this to say.
Thank you for your donation to the Ronald
McDonald House. It has been wonderful to be so
close to our daughter while she gets stronger.
She was born at 29 weeks and weighed only 1 lb 12
oz. She will be in the Intensive Care Nursery
for 2-3 months. People like you make us feel
more at home.
As the number of children being treated in area
hospitals increases, so does the demand for our
House. We are often at full capacity with a list
of families waiting for a room. With support
from great partners like Goldring Gulf
Distributing, we are embarking on plans for a
larger Home that will ensure no one will be
turned away because of a lack of room. We
couldnt do it without you! Andrea Farage,

6KAPS for KIDSSeville Quarter, Pensacola, Fla
- By far the largest source of funding
(accounts for approximately 25 of total income)
for the Pensacola Ronald McDonald House is an
annual event called Kaps for Kids. In 2005, over
500 businesses and individuals participated in a
casual day at the office by making a donation to
RMH and wearing Kaps for Kids t-shirts or hats.
The 2005 event raised 62,000 from supporters in
Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton and Bay
Counties.

- There are many things that make a Ronald
McDonald House special but perhaps the most
amazing is the way our community rallies around
our families in support of our Home. Families,
corporations, volunteers and friends help us by
participating in our programs. by cleaning our
home top to bottom (through weekly volunteer
opportunities) and by generously donating their
time and money either directly or through various
fundraisers. We feel very lucky to have the
support of our wonderful friends in Northwest
Florida.-The Ronald Mc Donald House.
Thursday, May 4, 2006 at Anglers Fort Walton
Beach, a Silent auction took place along with
sales of KAPS for KIDS Shirts, ball caps and
other items. Every year, Goldring Gulf
Participates by employees purchasing the shirts
and wearing Them on a given day. Miller Lite
draft was donated to the Functions as additional
support.

Investing in Youth
Our many event planners and volunteers carry out
The Emerald Coast Foundation's mission by holding
various types of fund raisers. Some of these
grassroots events include golf tournaments,
fishing tournaments, poker runs, and many more-
each as unique as the individuals who conduct
them. Here at The Emerald Coast Foundation, we
realize the hard work that goes into coordinating
an event we truly appreciate the effort and
dedication that these individuals, groups and
families extend to supporting our cause. With the
help of the area businesses, 800,000.00 has been
donated since they began in 1993.
