  • A Government to citizen intranet model within the
    district, to directly benefit people, the network
    being supported on commercial lines from the user
    charges given by people themselves.

Physical Infrastructure Involved
  • DISTRICT CENTRE- 2 servers, 4 terminals,8
    telephone connections, Router,Hub.
  • SOOCHNA KENDRAS- 25 centres throughout district,
    each serving about 10-15 Panchayats Centre has a
    computer with modem and works on dial-up
    connectivity through telephone

Human Infrastructure Involved
  • Consumer- General public who approaches the
    soochna kendra and pays a charge on every service
    he avails
  • District Lokmitra Society registered. The
    district centre is manned by 3 dedicated
    officials and the system monitored daily by the
    Society Chairman.
  • Soochak- The local operator, who is not an
    employee but an enterprenuer. Minimum
    qualification of 2. Given training by the
    Lokmitra Society.Has paid Rs. 10,000/- as
    registration fee for one year, shall eventually
    pay 10 of his profits from this to the Society.
