Full-time Status

• 12 credits at UHM (or a combination of UHM and UH
  system school credits)
• Recommendation
• No more than 12-15 credits in the first semester
• The maximum allowed in any semester is 19 credits

• Differs according to type of degree
• National average is 5-years
• Reasons for extended time
• Failure to seek academic advising and create a

• All students must declare by the end of their
