• Web-based tool that connects schools to
  businesses and businesses to schools by
• Linking Business Information to career
  opportunities
• Creating a Volunteer Exchange database of
  volunteers from local businesses

What can CIS-Connection do for employers?

• Present information about local businesses to
  students (and adults) using CIS, identifying them
  as a future employment option.
• Educate students (and job seekers) about the
  local industries and scope of jobs available,
  including information about soft skill
  expectations.
• Provide systematic way for offering
  career-related support to students.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Cooperating
Organization

• Convenes and coordinates local business
  participation
• Works with local businesses and schools to
  encourage participation
• Trains businesses on how to enter business and
  volunteer information
• Uses Administrator Tools to
• approve business accounts
• approve the information entered by the businesses
• monitor, track, and follow-up on the contacts
  between schools and businesses

• Registers the business by completing an online
  form
• Asks its employees to register or centrally
  registers to volunteer
• Volunteers for activities as requested
