Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)
  • A Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC)
    measures the amount of energy (heat) absorbed or
    released by a sample as it is heated, cooled or
    held at a constant (isothermal) temperature. The
    precise measure of sample temperature is also
    made with a DSC.

HyperDSCTM
Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) is the
most widely thermal analysis technique for the
characterization of pharmaceuticals, chemicals
and polymers. HyperDSCTM is the premier fast
scan DSC method. It provides the ability to
perform valid heat flow measurements while
heating or cooling a sample with fast linear
controlled rates, up to 500C/min.

  • A Thermomechanical Analyzer (TMA) measures
    dimension changes of a sample (such as expansion
    or contraction) as a function of temperature,
    time and force applied to the sample.
