• Currently working on ECAL position and angle
  resolution
• Linear fit to weighted positions in each ECAL
  layer
• Determine error matrix for c2 fit from MC

• This requires accurate tracking and alignment
• Allow for scattering in track fit significant
  for DESY energies
• Tune MC for incoming beam angular spread at
  collimator
• Work directly in new coordinate system alignment
  to ECAL?

  to MC perfect energies

Imperial physics analysis

• Just gearing up to start in this area
• Two students, each looking for a
  calorimeter-related physics topic
• One would be a shorter-term detector performance
  study (Hakan)
• The other would be a longer-term diode pads/MAPS
  comparison (Jamie)
• Currently doing technical setup of MC and
  analysis software
• Discussed a few topics of interest
• ee??ZH with invisible H decays and Z?qq for H
  mass and width limit
• Continuum tt production t mass, width(?),
  polarisation
• Useful not to duplicate topics within the UK
• Or CALICE generally to some extent
• Wanted to get overview of other plans before
  deciding
• Open to new ideas from this meeting
