Title: Reasons to Trust Your Bible The Prophetic Reason
1Six Reasons Why
You Can Trust The Bible
The Prophetic Reason
2But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name
anything I have not commanded him to say, or a
prophet who speaks in the name of other gods,
must be put to death." You may say to
yourselves, "How can we know when a message has
not been spoken by the Lord?" If what a prophet
proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take
place or come true, that is a message the Lord
has not spoken. Deut. 1820-22 (NIV)
3This is what the Lord saysyour redeemer who
formed you in the womb I am the Lord who has
made all things, who alone stretched out the
heavens, who spread out the earth by myself. Who
foils the signs of false prophets and makes fools
of diviners, who overthrows the learning of the
wise and turns it into nonsense. ..
4Who carries out the words of his servants and
fulfills the predictions of his messengers, who
says of Jerusalem, It shall be inhabited, of
the towns of Judah, they shall be rebuilt. And
of their ruins, I will restore them, who says
of Cyprus, he is my shepherd and will accomplish
all that I please he will say of Jerusalem,
let it be rebuilt, and of the temple, let its
foundation be laid. Isaiah 4426..28
5She will become plunder for the nations, and her
settlements on the mainland will be ravaged by
the sword. This is what the sovereign Lord says
From the north I am going to bring against Tyre
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings,
with horses and chariots,
6He will ravage your settlements on the mainland
with the sword he will set up siege works..
build a ramp up to your walls his horses will be
so many that they will cover you with dust The
hoofs of horses will trample all your streets he
will kill your people with the sword they will
throw your stones, timber and rubble into the
sea. Ezekiel 266-14
7I will bring many nations against you, like the
sea casting up its waves. They will destroy the
walls of Tyre and pull down her towers, I will
scrape away her rubble and make her a bare rock.
Out in the sea she will become a place to spread
fishnets, Ezekiel 263-5

I told them, If you think it best, give me my
pay, but if not keep it. So they paid me thirty
pieces of silver. And the Lord said to me,
Throw it to the potter. The handsome price
at which they priced me. So I took the 30 pieces
of silver and threw them into the house of the
Lord to the potter. Zechariah 1112
