Problem Definition

• A mining company has hired two consulting firms
  to transport raw ore from their mine site to a
  refinery. The first consulting firm designed a
  delivery system to transport the ore from the
  mine to a canal. Our firm will need to design a
  scale to determine how much ore there is, design
  a vehicle to move the ore down the canal, and
  finally design a bridge to allow for vehicles to
  cross above the canal.

• Currently researching greenhouse gas and odor
  emissions from manure spreading
• Developed a manure spreader that injects solid
  manure into the ground
• Dealt with all aspects of livestock waste
  management
• Plans to finish PhD. work this summer
