Title: SUFFERING IN SILENCE
1SUFFERING IN SILENCE Battered Men A 1 day
conference looking at the hidden side of domestic
abuse.
Domestic Violence is NOT A GENDER ISSUE - it is a
social issue affecting men, women and
children. We cannot expect to find real solutions
to the problem while it is treated solely as a
womens issue.
2For the last eleven years Sheaf Domestic Abuse
Project has supported men who suffer domestic
abuse. Men from all walks of life suffer, there
is no class or social distinction factory
workers, police. Social workers, military etc.
Forget the macho image men are supposed to
portray, they suffer too... A 1 day
