Title: Look Not

1
Look Not
  • Looking at the Unseen

2
Look Not
  • Ge 1917
  • And it came to pass, when they had brought them
forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life
look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all
the plain escape to the mountain, lest thou be
    consumed.

3
Look Not
  • Dont look Back!
  • Lu 1732
  • Remember Lots wife.
  • Gen 1926
  • But his wife looked back from behind him, and
she became a pillar of salt.

4
Look Not
  • Luke 17
  • 31 In that day, he which shall be upon the
housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not
come down to take it away and he that is in the
field, let him likewise not return back.
  • 32 Remember Lots wife.
  • 33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall
lose it and whosoever shall lose his life shall
    preserve it.

5
Look Not
  • Looking back
  • Can make you bitter
  • Can make you selfish
  • Save sozo to keep safe, deliver or protect
  • Dont try to save your stuff, your possessions

6
Look Not
  • Heb 10
  • 38 Now the just shall live by faith but if any
man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in
    him.
  • 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto
perdition but of them that believe to the saving
    of the soul.

7
Look Not
  • The whole point is to live your life in trust,
trusting the Lord for protection, walking in
faith, not trusting in your own ability or
    strength

8
Look Not
  • Phil. 3
  • 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have
apprehended but one thing, forgetting those
things which are behind, and reaching forth unto
    those things which are before,
  • 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the
high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
  • 15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be
thus minded and if in any thing ye be otherwise
minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
  • 16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already
attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us
    mind the same thing.

9
Look Not
  • One thing forget what is behind
  • But
  • To what you have attained, you mind the same
things you mind the same the rules

10
Look Not
  • Our looking back is reserved for us to learn what
    works and what doesnt work.
  • To live our lives by the things that weve
    learned from the Word.
  • To walk our Christian walk by the rules or
principles that we have discovered in the word.

11
2 Corinthians 4
  • 18 While we look not at the things which are
seen, but at the things which are not seen for
the things which are seen are temporal but the
things which are not seen are eternal.

12
Looking at the Unseen
  • Heb 11
  • 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped
for, the evidence of things not seen.
  • 3 things which are seen were not made of things
    which do appear.

13
  • With Faith we reshape and refashion our lives we
    build with the unseen.

14
Looking at the Unseen
  • Heb. 11
  • By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not
seen as yet, the flood, built an ark for
salvation, and his actions saved his family and
    condemned the world the world.
  • 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go
out into a place which he should after receive
for an inheritance, obeyed and he went out, not
    knowing whither he went.

15
Looking at the Unseen
  • Heb 11
  • 13 These all died in faith, not having received
the promises, but having seen them afar off, and
were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and
confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims
    on the earth.

16
  • 1Sa 167
  • But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his
countenance, or on the height of his stature
because I have refused him for the LORD seeth
not as man seeth for man looketh on the outward
appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

17
Looking at the Unseen
  • man looks on the outward appearance, but the
    LORD looks on the heart
  • We look at what can be seen in the natural, and
should be looking to discover the heart of the
matter. God sees the heart of it.

Remember our two Pictures
19
Looking at the Unseen
  • Learn to read people by or with the Spirit of
    God He sees the heart

20
Looking at the Unseen
  • Ro 8
  • 24 For we are saved by hope but hope that is
seen is not hope for what a man seeth, why doth
    he yet hope for?
  • 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do
we with patience wait for it.

21
Looking at the Unseen
  • Ro 1
  • 20 For the invisible things of him from the
creation of the world are clearly seen, being
understood by the things that are made, even his
eternal power and Godhead so that they are
    without excuse

22
Looking at the Unseen
  • Rom 4
  • 17 Godcalls those things which be not as
    though they were.
  • God calls non-existing thing as though they
    already existed.

23
Looking at the Unseen
  • 1Co 1
  • 28 God hath chosen the things which are not, to
bring to nought things that are

24
Looking at the Unseen
  • We must see with the eye of faith those things
that God has done, not yet seen in this realm,
yet more real than what you see here.

25
Looking at the Unseen
  • Faith is the evidence that what is yet invisible
to you, is real. And what is beyond your sight,
    is there for the taking.
  • The question is, will you use your faith to bring
it into this realm, will you manifest it!
