Homework
  • Every week night and occasional weekends
  • Approximately 40 minutes
  • Review and Practice
  • Read every night for 20 minutes
  • Review math facts regularly
  • Check homework at

    will be used on a daily basis for the following 
     
  • Recording homework assignments
  • Parent/Teacher communication
  • Bathroom Sign-out        
  • Please sign your child's agenda each night to
    ensure that it is being used effectively.

Grading
  • Homework 
  • Must be completed neatly and accurately on a
    regular basis. 
  • It will serve as review and reinforcement of
    skills and concepts presented in class.
  • It is important to immediately inform the teacher
    of your child's difficulty with homework or time
    management so that monitoring and adjustment can
    take place to make homework a worthwhile
    experience.

Spelling/Vocabulary
  • MONDAY Complete word bank for content specific
    vocabulary. Use a dictionary or glossary to find
    the meaning of each word as it will be used in
    class.
  • Homework Draw a picture of that will help you
    remember the meaning of the word and record a
    knowledge connection.
  • WEDNESDAY Turn in homework.
  • THURSDAY Study Homework will be returned to
    students on Thursday to prepare for Fridays
    assessment.
  • FRIDAY Assessment Choose from 3 closely related
    spellings, the one that is correctly spelled.
    Application of vocabulary assessments to follow.

    and Latin American nations.
  • Focus on geography, history, culture, and economy
    by utilizing a variety of sources
