• Proposal is for a regulation not a directive
• immediate community wide application after
  publication
• 80 reduction in Particulate Matter emissions to
  5 mg/km for diesel cars
• should lead to introduction of diesel particle
  filters on all new diesel cars
• New 5 mg/km PM limit for lean-burn direct
  injection petrol cars

  at its surface

  introduction of a particle number standard

Conclusion

• Being the first in the market is resource
  consuming
• Putting bets on regulated markets may not be a
  good idea for VCs
• Finding the right value may be difficult
• Like waiting for a bus. When it does not come,
  VCs will blame you (the Entrepreneur) for the
  bus being late
