• There are two measurements that tell you about
  the size of a polygon. The number of squares
  needed to cover the polygon is the area of the
  shape. The distance around the polygon is the
  perimeter of the shape.

Problem 1 Adam needs a dog pen for his 3 dogs.
He would like to use one of the figure designs
for the dog pen. Use your Area and Perimeter
information to find the following things for Adam.

• Table 1 Calculate the cost of fencing for each
  figure design if fencing costs 25 per meter.
  Record and show your work on the first table for
  all the figures on the student worksheet.
