Summary of Plot
  • The BFG, by Roald Dahl, is about a little
girl named Sophie and a big friendly giant. The
  • Big Friendly Giant kidnapped Sophie from her
orphanage when she caught a glimpse of him
  • blowing dreams to people. He did not want her to
tell anybody about him. The BFG also
  • wanted to be kept a secret because he feared
that the people would confine him in a zoo if
  • they discovered him.
  • Sophie learns that the BFG is a kind giant who
    grants everyone dreams each night,
  • blowing them through the windows of their homes
with his enormous, dream trumpet. Not
  • only this, but the BFG is also incredibly
polite.  As a substitute to devouring human
    beings like
  • the majority of other giants, he eats revolting
snozzcumbers. They do not taste the least bit
  • delicious, but it is the only thing edible in
    Giant Country, aside from people.
  • Nonetheless, there were nine other colossal
giants as well and every one appeared to be
  • about 50 feet tall! These monsters were gobbling
up humans all over the world for dinner.
  • Upon hearing this, Sophie and the Big Friendly
Giant are determined to warn the Queen
  • of England before it is too late.

gulping down people from all over the planet for
    supper.

inform the Queen of England of the danger.
  • Resolution
  • The BFG and Sophie lead the Queen of England and
her soldiers to Giant Country, which is where the
