Introduction

• Neuron-biological disorder
• Usually inherited, can also be caused by various
  problems such as difficulties with pregnancy,
  birth, early childhood severe illness, and
  environmental toxins
• Affects about 3-5 of the world's population.
• Estimated 4.4 million youth ages 4-17 diagnosed
  with ADD
• Twice as common in boys

Symptoms

• Most common symptoms
• Impulsiveness Doesnt think things through.
• Hyperactivity Unable to sit still
• Inattention Daydreamer
• Rare cases will also suffer from Anxiety and
  Bipolar disorders

• Symptoms start to appear at an early age, and
  often effect most areas of a childs life
• Symptoms can persist over time, often into
  adulthood
• The symptoms often change as children grow and
  develop into adults
• ADHD is often inherited
