The Parable Of The Good Samaritan
  • Luke 1029-30
  • But he, wanting to justify himself, said to
Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" 30 Then Jesus
answered and said "A certain man went down from
Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who
stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and
    departed, leaving him half dead.

Passing By On The Other Side
  • Luke 1031-32
  • Now by chance a certain priest came down that
road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the
other side. 32 Likewise a Levite, when he
arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed
    by on the other side.

5
Passing By On The Other Side
  • Matthew 2541-46
  • 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food I
was thirsty and you gave Me no drink 43 I was a
stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and
you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you
    did not visit Me.'

6
Passing By On The Other Side
  • Matthew 2541-46
  • 'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or
a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did
    not minister to You?'

7
Passing By On The Other Side
  • Matthew 2541-46
  • 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not
do it to one of the least of these, you did not
    do it to Me.'

8
Passing By On The Other Side
  • James 417
  • Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does
not do it, to him it is sin.

9
Passing By On The Other Side
  • 1 John 317-18
  • But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his
brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him,
how does the love of God abide in him? 18 My
little children, let us not love in word or in
tongue, but in deed and in truth.

10
Loving Enough To Give
  • Luke 1033-37 But a certain Samaritan, as he
journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw
him, he had compassion. 34 So he went to him and
bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine and
he set him on his own animal, brought him to an
inn, and took care of him.

11
Loving Enough To Give
  • James 127
  • Pure and undefiled religion before God and the
Father is this to visit orphans and widows in
their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from
    the world.

12
Loving Enough To Give
  • Galatians 610 Therefore, as we have opportunity,
let us do good to all, especially to those who
are of the household of faith.
  • Galatians 62 Bear one another's burdens, and so
    fulfill the law of Christ.
