CHARITABLE ENDOWMENTS ACT, 1997
Section 6 Commissioner and other officers to
be Government servants Commissioner and other
officers and subordinate staff appointed under
this Act shall be Government servants and they
shall draw their pay and allowances from the
consolidated fund of the State.
Section 7. Commissioner, etc. to be Hindu The
Commissioner and every Deputy Commissioner or
Assistant Commissioner and every other Officer or
servant, appointed to carry out the purposes of
this Act by whomsoever appointed, shall be a
person professing Hindu Religion, and shall cease
to hold office as such when he ceases to profess
that religion.

- Section 5 Orissa Hindu Religious Endowments
Board shall consist of an officer of the State
Government who shall be the President of the
Board. - Section 8 A person shall not be eligible to be
elected or nominated as a member of the Board or
of any Committee, if he does not profess Hindu
religion.
