What is HIM? Health Information Management

• Whenever healthcare is provided, medical records
  must be created, reviewed and stored.
• These records can include any or all of the
  following
• 1. Lab results- blood tests, urine tests etc.
• 2. X- Rays and other radiology procedures
• 3. Physicians notes
• 4. Clinical information (nursing notes,
  physical therapy notes, and many others)
• 5. A History and Physical Exam
• 6. Operative and Procedure Reports
• 7. And much more
