How did Alice in Wonderland begin?

• Lewis Carroll was a librarian in Oxford.
• Each day he would look out his window to a park
  where Alice Liddell and her sisters would play.
• Occasionally, Lewis, Alice, and her sisters would
  go on boat rides together and Lewis would make up
  stories.
• One day, he decided to write these stories down.
