Project Overview

• System Upgrade from DOS to Windows platform
• Will provide the capability to track more than
  2000 beds, thus allowing use in Vanderbilt
  Childrens Hospital.
• Will provide trailer record detailing the Total
  Number of Transactions, QTY per Transaction, and
  Total QTY on the Charge Interface File, thus
  satisfying audit standards and automated
  validation.

Concerns

• Completion of Test Environment for Future
  Upgrades
• The Windows Cbord application does not support
  tube feeds or oral supplements, only diet orders.
  It also does not contain a hold/review queue. 
  Because of these limitations, we will now need to
  manually load Patient Nutrition Orders into the
  Cbord Database (instead of utilizing the WIZ
  interface).
• Disaster Recovery Plan
• Room Service Module go-live towards end of
  November - very close to Childrens Hospital
  go-live of Dec. 5th. The risks have been
  addressed with Nutritional Services and they are
  aware and conscious of the situation.

Next Steps

• Work with Cbord to obtain a date for
  customization work to eliminate manual entry of
  orders.
• Test Environment completed by September 15th
• Gain agreement and complete the Disaster Recovery
  Plan by September 19th
