Apostle

• Level one- The Lord Jesus Christ is an apostle,
  the Apostle and High Priest (Heb 31)
• Level two- the twelve disciples whom Christ send
  forth. (Lk. 613)
• Others- not among the twelve, Paul, James the
  Lords brother, Barnabas

Apostle

• An apostle is a person with the special ability
  to provide authoritative leadership for a cluster
  of churches.
• Often involved the founding of the churches but
  may also include giving new direction to the
  church.

Prophet

• The man with the supernatural ability to
  interpret the scriptures in the light of the
  present situation in the church.
• His ministry is to correct, encourage, and edify.
  Bringing the church back to her primary nature
  and purpose.

Evangelist

• Person gifted by the Holy Spirit with the unique
  ability to present the gospel in such a winsome
  and powerful way that people will respond to the
  claims of the Lord Jesus Christ through
  repentance, conversion and discipleship.

Pastor-Teacher

• The special ability to take responsibility for
  the nourishment, health, protection and
  development of a congregation on a relatively
  long-term bases. Often for a lifetime.

Ministry Gifts

• Are permanent
• Usually are related to natural abilities, that
  does not mean they are natural gift
• Determine the position of an individual in the
  body of Christ
• Have to do with persons, ministry gifts are
  gifted person

• Are temporary
• Have no relation to natural ability
• Little relationship between a persons position
  in the Body of Christ and the manifestation gifts
• The gift is emphasized and not the person
• The body of Christ is to receive and rejoice in
  these surprises of the Spirit

Shepherd

• Provider-he is to feed the people the bread and
  the water of life.
• Pioneer- the shepherd must walk ahead of the
  sheep and show them the way.
• Protector- the shepherd will give his life
  defending his sheep.
• Physician- must know the signs of spiritual
  health and the symptoms of spiritual diseases.
