choppy waters from England to Plymouth,
Massachusetts.

The Pilgrims landed in Plymouth on December 11,
1620. Their first winter was very difficult.
Not enough houses were built when the snow began
to fall. Many Pilgrims had to stay aboard the
Mayflower through the winter. They suffered from
the cold and lack of food and many died.
