2White Knight A Proven Success!
- In 2009 Ron White created the White Knight Gala,
an annual White Party and fundraising event.
White Knight raises funds for a chosen Human
Rights based charity. The recipient charity is
recommended by the White Knight Advisory Board. - The inaugural event in May 2009 was a sellout
success, raising funds for Free the Childrens GO
Local program designed to address poverty and
violence by empowering at risk youth in our own
backyard.

- Tuesday May 12, 2009
- A sold-out evening event for 300 guests held at
one of the citys most spectacular private
estates - Brought Torontonians together and raised
awareness for issues affecting local at risk
youth - Raised sufficient funds to launch a new Free the
Children program for Fall 2009 called GO Local - Highlights
- Featured an all white runway hosted on camera by
Ben Mulroney, with guests wearing all white
summer cocktail attire and their most fabulous,
colourful or outrageous shoes - Keynote by Craig Kielburger, Founder, Free The
Children - Presentations Entertainment
- Hosted by Global TVs Leslie Roberts
- The Canadian Tenors
- 8yr old piano prodigy Ethan Bortnick
- 15yr old jazz virtuoso Nikki Yanofsky

4Go Local Success in Pilot Program
- The program was piloted in one remarkable school
in Toronto, Monarch Park. - The results are profound!
- Decreased levels of violence
- Decreased destructive behaviour
- Decreased school suspensions and disciplinary
issues - Increased student self-confidence
- Increased school participation
- Increased community volunteerism
- Free The Children has been instrumental in
creating a profound shift in our school. With
each action taken by the students to help those
around them, our school becomes a more positive,

- After this years sellout success, The White
Knight Advisory Board, through the Ron White
Foundation, is planning a second gala to be held
on May 27, 2010, with an expanded audience of up
to 400 guests! - In support of Free The Childrens GO Local
program, the event is guaranteed to be another
night to remember. - 250K of PSAs will begin airing in late November
2009 to promote both awareness of the GO Local
program and 2010s event. - The 2009 event was supported by major financial

rights based issues both locally and
