2When we measure length we are looking at how far
away something is, how tall or short it is, etc.
3The are 2 groups/categories for length.Customary
and Metric
4Customary length is what we use in the United
States. It includes inches, feet, yards, and
miles.
5One inch is about the size of a small paperclip.
It is the smallest customary measurement.
6One foot is about the length of a piece of
notebook paper.
7One yard is about the length of a regular
baseball bat.
8One mile is about the length of a 20 minute walk.

12Metric length is what most of the world uses. It
includes millimeters, centimeters, meters, and
kilometers
