12Monitoring of Programs by Pakistan Engineering
Council through Engineering Accreditation
Committee
- Zero Visit (6 Months before the launch of the
program) - Outcome Green signal to launch engineering
program or program is not allowed to start - 1st interim Visit (End of 1st year of start of
program) - 2nd Interim Visit (Start of 3rd year of program)
- Accreditation Visit (Start of 4th Year of
Program) - Confirmatory visit if there are still weaknesses
in the program in terms of - Faculty
- Infrastructure
- Curriculum specially Lab work
13Conclusion
- Every University has to follow unified curriculum
- Tough PEC regulations have played major role of
deterrent in mushroom growth of engineering
Institutions - Pakistan enters into the Washington Accord
- It would facilitate mobility of engineering
graduates and professionals of Pakistan at
international levels.
